HealthTalker was founded in February 2007 with the vision to create custom word of mouth (WOM) marketing solutions for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
After working in the pharmaceutical industry for 13 years, Founder and CEO Andy Levitt was familiar with the challenges companies face in influencing consumer behavior with the regular mix of direct to consumer (DTC) programming. He recognized that there was need for a solution that would tap into the power of consumer conversations, especially given the ever-growing challenge of earning patient attention and trust through traditional media channels.
Today, HealthTalker is in its fourth year of business. HealthTalker has been creating customized word of mouth marketing programs across a range of therapeutic categories for companies including Pfizer, Novartis, Merck, Allergan, Genzyme, Alkermes, Auxilium, EMD Serono and Shire. The conditions may vary, but the results are consistently the same — engaging consumers to effectively and authentically spread the word to people they know.
